Massage taught me how to hear my body.

The sum of it all is massage taught me how to manage 3 years of treatment.

I did not expect the medical profession to teach me how to heal myself. The thing that shocked me as a patient was how the act of human touch would take me far away - change my emotional state.

Human touch had the ability to quiet the noise so I could take the next step in my treatment.

I had to find a way to manage my fear, to feel aligned. Massage taught me the possibilities of light touch.

Every time I walked out (of a massage session), I was centered.

It helped me hold space to find myself again.

Three years out, I still need help addressing my fascial restrictions and managing my fear - to help me learn how to take care of me.
